All-time way to remove water spots from chrome?

Hey guys, yesterday I detailed a Dodge truck and after I was done I noticed at that place were some water spots on some areas of the running boards. Information technology wasn't until the customer picked upward the truck that I institute out he had only purchased it 6 days agone and now I feel bad considering I can't assist merely recollect I may have been at mistake for them..

I used Meguiars Super Degreaser to clean the tires and may have let the rinse water sit down besides long later. They're not crazy noticable but it still bewitched me when I was done.

I didn't take shut up pictures of them, but here's a couple pics of the truck/running boards to requite an idea of the surface they're on. What would be a quik fix to remove them?

I have an old bottle of Mothers Chrome Smooth, but IMO it'southward never been expert for anything, and then I haven't given it much of a idea.

I similar the 3M polish, it's actually the but 3M detailing product I ain.

It'southward what I employ on all that chrome on my Harley.

3M Chrome and Metallic Polish, wheel polish, chrome polish, metal polish cleaner

Magic Eraser might also worth because. Did a good job cleaning up the chrome bumper on my Tacoma. Of course you lot may want to do a modest exam spot just in case.

Something to keep in mind is a lot of the "chrome" pieces on mod vehicles is actually plastic, so be careful using aggressive methods. I know on my wife'south Hyundai there is "chrome" running below the doors, but information technology's really plastic. H2o spots tin can be an issue and I apply that 3M production and they are gone instantly.

Or you could try ammonia gratuitous glass cleaners. They do work well on chrome wheels. Probably the gentlest route I could retrieve of.

I'd bet my life the steps on that Dodge are made of metallic. They might be aluminum, only they're not plastic.

I tried D120 drinking glass cleaner yesterday and it didn't take them off.
